
Krasnodar, 6 May – Yug Times. Last week, Krasnodar region's authorities convened to review the flood situation and ensure preparedness following the recent heavy rains. A meeting of the regional commission for emergency prevention and response, chaired by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, took place in Tu apse. Attending were the governor's deputies, heads of relevant minis tries, and the first deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Krasnodar region, Nikolai Platonikhin, along with municipal leaders joining via video conference. "Despite the rain and cold, the overall flood situation is under control. The water levels in the region’s rivers remain below critical thresholds," said Kondratiev. "However, as agreed, it is crucial to continuously monitor the situation on the ground and ensure visual control of water levels. Our alert system, evacuation points, and food supplies are in place—we must be prepared for any eventuality."
Deputy Governor Dmitri Maslov re ported on the current situation.
"There are areas at risk—Apsheronsk, Seversky, Mostovsky districts, Goriachy Kluch, and Sochi. We are keeping the situation under control there," Maslov said.
