The elegant Sophia Church—the smallest in the monastery, situated on the lake shore—and the Church of the Archangel Michael, striking with its tent-roofed bell tower, unusual for Orthodox architecture, evoked particular admiration from the international guests. KIU professors provided detailed accounts of the history, symbolism, and significance of each church, helping the students understand the depth and multifaceted nature of Russian culture.
The trip was not limited to an introduction to architecture. The culmination of the day was a visit to the picturesque Raifa Lake, known for its crystal-clear water and unique acoustics, which allow the sound of the bell ringing to carry far across the surroundings.

Such events are an important part of the educational and developmental strategy of Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov. They contribute not only to broadening the students' horizons but also to strengthening intercultural ties, fostering tolerance and respect for the traditions of different peoples.

The trip to the Raifa Monastery became another step for the international students in understanding the multifaceted and rich culture of Tatarstan and Russia, leaving them with bright and warm memories.
