Vitaly Gainullovich Timiryasov was an outstanding scientist and leader who devoted more than half a century to education and science. Vitaly Gainullovich did not just found a university; he created a special atmosphere where every student feels needed and inspired.
He said that the student is the most important thing and built the university so that every talent had the opportunity to reveal itself—in studies, science, creativity, sports, and public life. Vitaly Gainullovich established the tradition of supporting gifted youth—a tradition that became the foundation of our university's success. Receiving a scholarship named after him means joining the circle of the best, most talented, and purposeful students. It was precisely such students who gathered on this day in a solemn and festive atmosphere.
The scholarship award ceremony began with the solemn anthem of KIU. The students were joined in this significant moment by the university rector Asiya Timiryasova, vice-rectors, deans, and teachers.
KIU Rector, Honored Economist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan Asiya Timiryasova addressed the gathering with a welcoming speech. The rector emphasized that, contrary to tradition, it was decided to award more students than usual: "When we received your portfolios, we understood that there were many worthy students, and we decided that those guys whose achievements were equivalent would receive this scholarship." There were 23 such scholarship recipients, and each of them had shown themselves to the maximum during their studies. "These are students who are the face of the Kazan Innovative University. Active, purposeful, responsible, with a very clear life position. This is exactly how Vitaly Gainullovich himself was when he was a student," emphasized the rector. "He was actively involved in sports, conducted scientific research, was a person who strived to achieve his goals and was very strong in spirit. This is a person who can conceive a global idea and go towards its implementation, despite the difficulties that arise." The rector noted that the thousands of students grateful to Vitaly Gainullovich are constantly growing, as the founder of the university is also connected to the destinies of the current university scholarship holders.

Grants" at the festival "Tavrida. Art".
Asylgaraev Marat Rustamovich, 4th-year student, Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, Kazan. Head of the Faculty's Media Center. Winner of the "Dobry Tatarstan 2024" award in the "Best Volunteer Center at a University" category, Attaché-volunteer for international events of the Republic of Tatarstan. Organizer of the Contest of Young Performers of Popular Music "New Wave" 2025 in Kazan.

After the award ceremony, the scholarship recipients were given the floor for a response speech. Their speeches were filled with sincere gratitude and emotions. In their speeches, they expressed deep appreciation to the administration and the university for the high evaluation of their work and the opportunities created, emphasized that this award is a great honor for them, as well as a powerful incentive for further growth and conquering new heights in studies and science. There is no doubt that our scholarship holders will continue to make every effort to glorify their alma mater with their achievements and be worthy of the memory of Vitaly Gainullovich Timiryasov.
